Dear parents and students,
I am Miss Pamela Cruz and I will be teaching MUSIC FOR ELEMENTARY and CHOIR.
I studied piano with Aenne Deja Neuber and Hernán Teruel at the Honduran National University. In the United States with professor Leander Bien at Kinheaven Music School in Weston Vermont. As a singer and pianist I performed with Opera and Gospel Organizations in Honduras and the United States.
As a choral conductor, I have been invited to conduct the ASCAA Honor Choir and Music Fest Honor Choir in Panama City. I am the founder and co-director of the Discovery School Choir which in 2012 was selected to participate in the "Golden Gate International Choral Festival" in San Francisco Bay Area. In 2014 Discovery Choir was invited to be part of DCINY Choir to performed the World Premier "Gloria" in the concert "Music Under the Western Sky" under the baton of Doctor Christian Grasses at the Carnegie Hall in New York. Last year April 2017 the choir was the recipient of the "Most Engaging Large Ensemble" award at AASCA Music Festival celebrated in Costa Rica and "Superior Perfect Score" at the ABSH Music Festival hosted by EIS in San Pedro Sula City this year.
As a teacher I worked at the National Conservatory of Music "Francisco Ramón Díaz Zelaya" and National School of Music. I have 24 years of experience in the music field. This is my 13th year at Discovery School.

Behavior Expectations
Rules based on Respect, Order and Cooperation will be established in order to create a special environment among the students so they can maximize their learning.
Evaluation:
The students will be evaluated weekly. The attendance and practice at home are very important in this class. The students will learn the basics of the percussion instruments,recorder and violin and how to practice t home effectively.
