This Week In Music Class..

WELCOME TO A NEW WEEK!




IMPORTANT INFO: 


CHOIR PRACTICE TODAY AND WEDNESDAY FROM 3:00-4:00 P.M. ABSH IS AROUND THE CORNER!

NURSERY


  • The student will be able to:
  • Play the beat of the song “Jack and the Beenstalk”   (Full Song)
    • Identify Musical notes (Do, re, Mi)


    PRE-KINDER




    The student will be able to:
    • Read the notes by colors (Mi,So, Si)
    • Play and sing the beat of the song “Christopher Columbus” (Part 2)

    KINDER



    The student will be able to : 
    • Read the notes by colors (Mi and Sol) 
    • Learn about the instruments of the class 
    • Identify instruments of the orchestra (Peter and the Wolf)


    FIRST GRADE


    The students will be able to:
    • Create small melodic patterns using a variety of sound sources
    • Locate do,mi,sol on the staff
    • Christopher Columbus Song (Part 1)




    SECOND GRADE


    The students will be able to:
    • The students will learn the song “Adios Garcita Morena” (Full Song)
    • The children will create an accompaniment ostinato for the song using Xylophones  (Full song) 
    • The students will perform Drill 6 with xylophones and percussion instruments

      THIRD GRADE


      The students will be able to:
      • Sing the first and  second part of the song “El Tigrillo”
      • Act the story of the song "El Tigrillo" (Part 3)
      • The students will perform Drill 7 with recorder flute (Part 1)


       FOURTH GRADE


      The students will be able to:
      • Perform Variation 4 from Song on E (8 measurements)
      • Excercise the first sight reading using variation 4 score (8 new measurements)

      FIFTH GRADE


      The students will be able to:


      • The students will create rhythmic an melodic patterns using quarter half doted and sixteenth notes in 3/4 time signature meters.
      • The students will write a "Silly Halloween Song"
      • The students will practice the bow drills to exercise their wrist and keep the bow’s direction using  musical figures from variation 3 (First part)
