This Week in Music Class...

WELCOME TO A NEW WEEK!




IMPORTANT INFO: 





CHOIR PRACTICE TODAY AND WEDNESDAY FROM 3:00-4:00 P.M. ABSH IS AROUND THE CORNER!


NURSERY



  • The student will be able to:
  • Play the beat of the song “The Wolf and the 7 Sheep”   (Full Song)
  • Identify Musical notes (Do, re, Mi)


PRE-KINDER




The student will be able to:
  • Sing the Honduran national Anthem (Part 7)
  • Read the notes by colors (Mi,So, Si)
  • Play and sing the beat of the song “El Tigrillo” (First Part)
  • The Princess and the Frog (Second Part)

KINDER





The student will be able to : 


  • Play the Rhythm of the song “Los Inditos” (Full Song)
  • Read the notes by colors (Mi and Sol) 
  • Walk with the rhythm saying the words. 
  • Learn about the instruments of the class

FIRST GRADE


The students will be able to:



  • Sing the Honduran National Anthem (Chorus and Part 7)
  • Create small melodic patterns using a variety of sound sources.
  • Perform the song “Los Olingos” with Tambourines (Ful Song)
  • Locate do,mi,sol on the staff



SECOND GRADE




The students will be able to:
  • The students will learn the song “Adios Garcita Morena” (Full Song)
  • The children will create an accompaniment ostinato for the song using Xylophones  (Full song) 
  • The students will perform Drill 6 with xylophones and percussion instruments
  • The students will sing the Honduran National Anthem (Chorus and part 7)

    THIRD GRADE



    The students will be able to:
    • Sing the first and  second part of the song “Las Iguanas”
    • Act the story of the song "Las Iguanas" (Full song)
    • Sings the Honduran National Anthem (Part 7 and Chorus part)
    • Performs Mary Had a Little Lamb (Full Version)
    • The students will perform Drill 6 with recorder flute


     FOURTH GRADE



    The students will be able to:

    • Learn the Song “Sos Un Angel” (Part 1 and 2)
    • Perform Variation 3 from Song on E (8 measurements)
    • Excercise the first sight reading using variation 3 score (4 new measurements)

    FIFTH GRADE



    The students will be able to:

    • Sing the Honduran folk song “Maizales" (Full song)
    • The students will create rhythmic patterns using quarter half doted and sixteenth notes in 3/4 time signature meters.
    • The students will practice the bow drills to exercise their wrist and keep the bow’s direction using  musical figures from variation 3 (First part)
